The $60 voucher was for international orders over $300. I was tempted to pre-order but I didn't.

Oh boy -- I gotta jump in here...
First of all, the Castle Neu motors are not yet in production -- we are still hammering out some production issues (mostly magnet procurement...)
Second, the Castle Neu motor is hand wound. I don't believe you can machine wind the Neu design (it's an internal wind -- can't be wound on a fly winder.)
Third, it does run at pretty much the same efficiency as the original Neu -- it is exactly the same design, except for the carbon winding on the rotor, and case and bearings (heavier case, larger bearings.)
Thanx!

You are the man Patrick!! Do you stay awake at night wondering what other brushless esc mfgs are thinking? You guys at CC are getting so far ahead of everyone else, you really lack decent competition... Not that I care, I am more than happy to stick with CC products.
On a side note, are you guys doing anything with the cc36 motors? I heard some quiet rumors of those motors being revamped? Any info on that would be greatly appreciated! Maybe change the magnet to segmented, like a lehner/hacker c50 copy... Not as good as a neu, but seems like it would lend itself to mas production, as the windings can be done by machine, and the magnet could be too?

Havn't the cc36 motors already been revamped. I though I read that the new ones were shipping with improved bearings and something else. I thought it was someone on this forum with pics of a new one with the slight differences.

Is there only going to be a 2200 kv combo, or are you going to have more options, like in the 1300-1600 kv range for 6S lipo?

The first two motors will be 2200Kv (1515/1Y) and 2600Kv (1512/1Y)
We will add additional motors later.

great to hear. I am running 6s and well the 1y would be a little overkill. actually the 3d on 6s seems to be very nice.
