There aluminum hop part are expensive but it's not Integy aluminium...
You can keep the buggy with default equipement, This is still one if not the most robust buggy on the market. 2 people here sell there brand new RC8 for a 808. our track is very unforgiving, Even on a short run (1 hour) you can see the difference.

Price is hight because Xray is made in Europe and the actual currency is the Euro.
Right now
1 € = 1.52 $
I supsect Xray to make almost no margin on US market.

Mr T.. I like that name!..
Anyway.. sorry.. I defiantly agree I still have my stock 808 and have not broken anything on it yet!, it takes a complete beating and is just assume at the track.. I don’t agree that X-Ray isn’t making any money, actually they just raised all of there prices across the board (I think 12%). And due to the fact that the stock 808 cost $599 and the Alm is $504 (something is just wrong!). but nobody forced me to get all this stuff personnel choice 100%..

Thanks for your time and for stopping by..

Have a great day Sir.

Shaun.

All in all total investment is roughly...$ 2,500- I did sell some of the nitro stuff to help w/some purchases. All in all this is a v/expensive hobby, but seeing my buggy fly in the air and go by me doing 40+ mph. I realize that it is worth all the trouble and money. Besides, there are a lot of OTHER hobbies we could be doing that are not so on the up and up.....
Hay magman.. I know you can relate, I’ve seen your build (fricken sweet!) and yes I can relate to your above statement all to well “but seeing my buggy fly in the air and go by me doing 40+ mph. I realize that it is worth all the trouble and money”.

And yes there are much worse things we could be blowing our money on, but I'm way to old for that crap now and as long as I can keep my wife in the dark about everything I'm GOOD TO GO..

Nothing!.. Hahahahaaa..

I think this is the most expensive buggy around!

I think I like the CF parts better, but having both, and TOP of the line makes me VERY jealous LOL

It’s just a Traxxas 3905 rx box off eBay for like $7.00 then I have some industrial Velcro for the bottom to the top of the servo box. I’ve only lost one box during a horrendous crash.. I’ll pm you some pictures of it soon.

Simple, cheep, quick and watertight!..
