Hi Guy's, first off this baja project makes little sense to the average baja owner because it will be very expensive and I am replacing an extremely fun and reliable gas motor, even though gas prices are way high the baja goes forever on just a tiny bit of the stuff (gas is way cheaper than lipo power). Plus I have spent some time on the baja forum and every time I mention this in a thread my ideas are highly criticized, they say that I'm ripping the heart out of the beast and taking away 80% of it's apeal...most really hate the idea and immediatley start flapping about run times. I'm doing this for performance and the ability to take it bashing anywhere anytime without having the police called on me. I am more fascinated by the weight reduction than anything which seems to be the gassers main complaint...not only will I shave 6-7 pounds off her but will also drastically lower the CG which I'm sure will have an awesome effect on handling (no bling bling). For power mike and I are talking about a neu 2215 / mgm 120.32 / and a pair of polyquest 4s 6000mah packs in series for 8s. That should more than double the power output of the stock engine plus eliminate all the low end bog. It will have a fully adjustable RCM motor mount and custom made pinions. I will allow mike to spend all winter on this for lots of research and testing (he wants to master this).
