Remind me again, was this (bad) servo connected to the Rx when you tried calibrating/ setting up all your previous MMMs?

Hmm, this very well could explain your past troubles mk351e. For a servo to get that hot it has to be drawing a ton of current from the BEC. Sounds like hooking up that battery pack just saved your 4th MMM from getting fried. I would open up your RX & make sure there is no damage there even thou it is still working, all that current went thru the power trace on the RX's board. I also would inspect the wires on the back you were using when the servo fried, they should have gotten very hot as well.
