The mmm uses it's fan, wired to the receiver, the MGM does not have a fan. The mmm is using a external bec., the MGM is using the internal bec.

Which "felt" more powerful? Seems like the MMM can pass some serious current, and feed the motor well. Running the same motor back to back with a MM and the MMM made more power. Motor and batts did run warmer. It also seems to work best with a neu motor...
Kill the drag brake and the temps will come down. I am running a 1515 1.5d in my erevo geared for 40mph on 4s and neither the motor or the MMM gets over 140f. The batts do get warm, like 110-115f. Not bad considering that they are in an almost sealed box.
