My battery temps have remained the same with the MMM vs the MGM. I haven't noticed much difference in operation temps either.

MMM set to 20% punch control and 10% drag brakes. I also have the brake curve set low then ramping up abruptly at the end if I need to brake really hard. I like the brake curve to allow me less finesse in my finger control for smoother braking. This is all bashing in a variety of terrains.

I think hardware wise the MGM is the more solid of the two controllers, I think driving and programming are superior on the MMM. In a way it's a toss up, but for the price of the MMM, you can't go wrong.

Which "felt" more powerful? Seems like the MMM can pass some serious current, and feed the motor well.

What's the current rating of the MMM?, I know the MM V2 is rated at 200A continuous so presumably has a higher burst rate than the MGM 160. The MGM is obviously rated at 160A's continuous and 200A burst, so the MMM if rated the same as an MM V2 would feel more powerful because it is.
The MM V2 has it on price, especially if you then go to the MGM 224, but the MGM is available in a waterproof version, not a problem for you dear old boy's from the sunny states but useful here in the UK.
