MMM internal BEC

I'd like to get a hold of some V1's and pull out all the switching regulator parts, and then use the MMM as an Opto. When/if my V1 goes bad, I'll try that instead of sending it in since the warranty is sightly voided anyway.

Please BrianG, tell me if i can remove the entire BEC in the MMM?
