If the MM is in a monster or 1/8th scale (+5 lb) vehicle it is out of warranty. I don't think most people post when their MM blows up in a 1/8th scale vehicle but we sure see a lot of damage to MM controllers from doing this.

There is absolutely no need to cut the case or add a fan to the MMM once we get it sorted out. Why do something that is unneeded but can increase the risk of damage in a crash by weakening the case that will void the warranty?
