Mine should arrive in Australia next week , pre ordered over a month a go to use as a CORR truck conversion .

Already have the brushless set up for it ready

You need an RCM lightning stadium motor mount and you will need to run the lightning stadium front centre diff mount in the D8 so it matches the hight of the RCM mount .
Both fit perfectly in the D8 as i had Ty ( HB team driver ) try out the lightning stadium centre diff mounts in the D8 with the D8 diff in it.
He even showed me a pic

So start ordering

I will be running a Medusa 36-60 1600kv , 5S lipo and the Tekin R1 pro esc in it with one of Mikes custom trays in it which i already have so i can use both my Zippy and PQ packs .

Shows out of stock on the Lightning mount. Is it possible something else has the same dimensions? The Kyosho looks identical to the Lightning if the pictures are accurate. Also looks the same as the CEN mount. What about using the Tekno motor mount? Not sure how that one mounts to the chassis, holes look square in the pictures.

For the other RCM mounts you will have to contact Mike .
The Tekno mount you can use as it's universal , i used one in my X2 before going to Mikes mount .

Problem is you will have to drill and countersink four new holes in the chassis to mount it and allow room for gear mesh no biggy i did it , secondly you will have to make up a diff brace to support the center diff since the Tekno mount is seperate from the diff .
If you don't do this when the chassis flexes it will change your mesh and ruin your gears.

Best to contact Mike and order the RCM mount and stock lightning stadium center diff mounts

So what should I run? Thinking of getting the MMM 2200kv combo when it's available. Plan on running 4s, not sure what pinion. I will be racing this at the local club races and need to get through 20 minute mains.

Maybe I should run a MM, not really sure where I should be on KV and pinion, but I will be running 4s since I already have a 6000mah polyquest that I run in my Losi 8T.

Raced my 8T Saturday and was exactly two minutes short of finishing, was in second too.

MM should work fine on 4s with the usual mods done to it , fan , 25v cap , external bec etc
I will be running the Medusa 36-60 1600kv on 5S in the D8 so for 4s you will want something around 2000kv.

The stock clutchbell is 16t in the kit so i am starting there with a 16t pinion since the rpm on my set up is similar to a nitro motor rpm .
if you go with a 2000kv or near motor and 4s you will also have similar rpm to a nitro motor at around 30, 000 rpm

I'm guessing 16t - 18t pinions will cover most set ups in the D8 .
