I run these packs myself and love them. I'm glad you posted this, I am going to look into insulating the wire to prevent this from occuring. I run the 3s 5000 packs and haven't had any shifting problems as of yet. Its good to note that there were no flames or explosion.



On another note.... Cordless weedwacker???


The answer is no. And yes, mine is faster.

I've got a craftsman cordless that worked off 2 12vdc lead-acid batts in series (24vdc). Well batts went dead and killed wall charger too. Total to replace was around $55. So instead I killed a $100 6s lipo. Probably was lucky it wasn't in my maxx though.

btw I think the short occurred at the point were the wires are soldered to cells. But as mentioned before I think the poor wrapping is to blame probably weakening connection after crashes.
