Troy - Bishops power Products - BPP - Poor service - 10.23.2008, 09:48 PM

I have been experiencing really bad service from Troy. I want to find out if any of you have had this level of poor service from him.

On the 29th of July 2008 I purchased the Mamba monster Max combo for $279.65 discounted shipping via EMS. At the time the expected delivery date was end of august.

4 weeks ago I contacted Troy and requested that I wanted to cancel the order as I was didnt want to wait for the combo anymore. I had already purchased x3 Mamba monster Max from other sources.

He replied to me 5 days later and told me that the Monster Max had already shipped and could offer me a refund for the motor which was expected the following week. I replied to him immediately and requested for a tracking number. A few days later he replied and said he would provide a tracking mumber soon. 10 days later when I had not heard from him I requested an update and kept receiving bounced email messages from his email server. Finally 4 days ago he replied to me apologising about the email problems - completely evaded my questions - basically where is my Mamba monster max that was supposed to be shipped 3 weeks ago, where is the tracking. Where is the motor that was supposed to be here 2 weeks ago. Why does he ignore my request for a refund as clearly he has not shipped anything to me - otherwise he would have provided me an EMS shipment / tracking number.

Troy treats me like I am dumb - he thinks that by avoiding answering my specific questions and skirting around by providing vague answers I will go away. I do not believe that 3 weeks ago he had shipped the ESC on its own especially as I ordered the combo. Why mislead me? Why not refund me at the time instead of claiming that it had already gone out. Why tell me that the package should be with me next week ( he has been telling me this for the past 3 weeks). EMS shipment takes 3-5 days maximum to the UK.

I dont want to go to my CC and ask for a chargeback yet - paypal claim period is out (45 days) so looks like chargeback is only option if Troy continues to mess me around

Unfortunately this has been a trend as of late with BPP. Although to be truthful I had not heard of anyone dealing with him in the past 2 months but do recall a lot of complaints this summer. I have never done business with him but had always heard great things before that.

I too heard great thing about him - but after he jerked me around I did a simple google search - looks like I am not the only one who is having trouble

I am not complaining of a lack of stock. I wanted to cancel the order 4 weeks ago. He should have accepted my cancellation request and refunded me the money. Instead he fobs me off by saying that he shipped the ESC on it's own. I do not believe that to be the case as it is COMBO and they were not out yet. Why ship half a item? Even if he did where is it 4 weeks later. Where is the tracking as I paid for EMS shipping. Why avoid giving me a straight answer. I feel he really does not like giving out refunds for cancelled orders.

Just have your CC do the chargeback for you. Send them copies of the emails between you and BPP.
