Hey guys,

So, after screwing up a couple of 6.5mm plugs, im just waiting on my next order to come through so i can finish up the wiring. Thanks HEAPS to Shaun for sending me some spare plugs, i just recieved them today and will get to work ASAP. Apart from my mistakes, my soldering iron packed it in, so i just got a new one, hopefully it will last a bit longer

Anyway, while im waiting for the plugs, i just finished up my ESC mount. Nothing really custom about it, apart from how i've put it together i guess. Just got a load of the Gmaxx posts for the extended rear skid, made some studs, and mounted the original upper rear plate above the motor. I think it turned out quite well.

Also got some pics of the ESC mounted, just mocked up of course. You can also see the third motor screw i've put in, and the 'brace' im using for the back of the motor. Slowly its coming together

cheers
jordan

How will you end up mounting the motor?

Looks awesome. Have you thought about making a custom one peice motor mount?
Thanks, at first i did, but couldn't find a 6mm thick piece of carbon. I think i'd need some type of mill or something to cut it out. All i had was my trusty dremel, so i just did what i could

Thanks everyone,

As for the final ESC mounting, nothing too different, but i have some foam cell padding to put on the plate and i'll probably use zipties. Hopefully will look alot neater than the velcroe and not cover up so much of the heatsink.

Hey Shaun, thanks again for those plugs, you know pics and vids will be up as soon as i get them

thanks phil, yep, i think they are the G4 posts. I bought them as the skid plate braces for the G3 chassis though, not sure if they are different lengths, but i would assume they're the same.

necks really good now, oput of all the braces. Got a check up at the end of the month to hopefully get final clearence so i can get back into my sport/training/things like that etc.

thanks again guys
jordan
