The yokes are nylon, and that nylon won't hold threads of a machine screw very well (with the amount of torque placed on the set screw to keep the yoke on tight enough).

Exactly. I will try the wk gears and pinion shaft if my pede centers do not hold up. The driveshaft angles are not extreme at all, so I think it will be fine. Just like to have options...
