the biggest part you missed is the cost of putting 1/8 scale diffs into the revo. add that in and they both cost the same.

if you are just planning on bashing i would go slayer, if your going to race it the 8 will be much better on the track

I don't believe that's a necessity. Tons of folks are using BL power in E-Revos without shredding the stock diffs enough to warrant a $125 change to 1/8th diffs. So, I don't see that as part of the cost equation.
