I hope they offer the sc8 as a roller....b/c then i'm getting another one for sure....anyways another quick update...i wasn't really happy with the receiver placement on the sc8 using the RCM servo/receiver mount. I wanted the receiver to have better protection...soooooo...i did this:

i used the new traxxas sealed receiver box and used one of the existing mounting holes and secured it through the mud guard with a locknut on the inside.....it looks pretty cool....AND i also coated all the electronics (inside and outside) with this stuff http://www.rz-50.com/ its RZ-50 and is supposed to be a non-conductive dry film lubricant....and when you spray it on its dries clear....anyways, just another way to further mud/water/dirt proof you sc8

it looks pretty similar to mine....i have my MMM mounted behind the battery tray (losi's 8ight-e battery tray) and i've mounted my receiver next to the steering servo as well (but its the traxxas water-proof case ) so in a way i think the conversion i did is just as good AND a lot cheaper

Horizon Hobby has them listed for 89.00 due late December.I wonder if the motormount will fit the Neu motors. The battery tray looks very much like the losi but it has the radiobox connected to it.It looks like 1 piece. The picture shows a Associated brushless motor. It actualy shows the conversion as a option for the SC8 on the Associated website

That $ doesn't sound too bad actually, but I would still opt for mike's mount and battery tray.

I wonder if someone has a 8ight and a rc8 and would buy the 2 conversion kits and use the same components to see which kit is better made. Anyone qualify for this?
