13.5" wheelbase, 16" wide, 1.5" gc...not quite the same as a stampede
mine would be more like a rustler vxl on steroids... lol
a stampede is a tip waiting to happen! no fun in that for me...
Well, then just do it.
Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES
I ran a super lightweight emaxx 2wd. I used the stock plastic chassis and a feigao 15l/9920 combo on 5s lipo. Great truck, geared for about 50mh it was a blast. Liked to do wheelies, but that is half the fun. I had a single speed gmaxx tranny, no front diff, driveshafts or front center driveshaft. It never broke either...
cool! I'll give it a try and see how light I can bring it... do you think i could get away with a S can motor?
Nah, L can is about the minimum. I would almost say that you may want to go to 5s lipo... But depending on the gearing the 10l on 4s should be fine. At 35mph it will do fine, not sure over that. Feigaos are not that effecient...
the slash and new emaxx have exactly the same wheelbase.
widen the slash with the rear arms all around or the jato wide arm conversion, add half offset truggy wheels and the width might also be similar.
punt an emaxx body on and you have a lightweight 2wd emaxx....
hey, my stampede dosent tip over. and thats doing 30mph power slides on-road with moabs . 12.5" wb, 13"with, 1 3/8 gc...... actually i was thinking about doing the same thing. although more of a buggy.
Do you have a stock chassis to use? Would be much lighter tht way. You could take out the diff and tranny and put an outrunner where the diff would be. I bet you could get the truck under 6lb rtr with that setup on 4s.
You could try something like this: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...less_Outrunner
Maybe have mtxmugen rewind it to ~180kv.
