1) Should I use the stock 2-speed, 1 speed spool, or center differential? I have a spare set of front/rear/center spider 8 diffs and I am considering using these. What do you think?

Definately go single speed! Brushless and 2 speeds do not work to well IMO. The car becomes too uncontrolable and not fun! The easiest thing would be to run the center diff, but JB weld it to make it a solid and you can the Kyosho plastic gears.

2) What gearing do you recommend?
All depends what speed you want...

3) What weight diff and shock fluid?
Again, depends on what you want to do with the car...

4) Any other misc. recommendations or lessons learned from other BL on-road builders?
HAVE FUN!!!!
I will be out of town for a couple of weeks but will post many pics when I return.

Thanks for taking the time to read and reply.
That is what I would do.....
