I've always loved Logitech stuff. I use a wireless keyboard that uses AA batts, and they last months. However, the mouse tends to go through batteries fairly quickly, so I like to have a charging cradle to recharge the batts when I'm done.

As long as you are within ~6' of the receiver, distance shouldn't matter.

That's about all the input I have on that subject.
