Brushed motors are ok to run in water. Only issue is dirt getting between the brushess and the com... I am using a titan 23t 550 from the emaxx. I just slid the outer steel ring down to cover the fan holes. I was going to get a pre-filter for the motor, but I do not know if I want a wet cloth bag on the motor. I may try to find some very small screen to cover the motor's hole so that the fan can still pull in air. The gearing is so low that the motor never gets hot, so I may just drill a drain hole in the bottom of the motor and use foil tape to cover the holes. And use some decent waterproof grease on the bushings. I have a few spare motors and do not care if they don't last...
