I wouldn't even consider the plush an option for a 1/10 scale car, No reverse, no brakes, delayed start up, and it is HUGE. It is usable for a 1/8 scaler with mech brakes, but there are much better options. I havn't messed with any of the ezrun stuff. I honestly would just take that $70 and put it towards a mamba max. Then you will have a proven esc, good customer service and warranty if somthing fails, and would be capable of running a larger build when you decide to do so. The zippy packs are good, I have no complaints about them. The charger looks pretty nice as well. As for the motors, for a light truck, like a pede, the little 6L 380, works great. You will need an adapter since the pattern on the front is smaller, but I have ran it in several 1/10 scale trucks on 3s and it works great. Another option is for about $30 more than the hc stuff, you could buy a 4600 sidewinder setup or vxl.
