GPS recommendations - What do I look for?

If only for rc use I went with the garmin geko 101, you would never want to be lost in the woods with it, but its a waterproof GPS for around $30 perfect for checking rc speeds etc Ive flipped my trucks over 50mph sent this thing flying down the street a good 20 times and it still ticks http://catalog.ebay.com/Garmin-Geko-...86Q2ec0Q2em271

at least you had a way to know you launched it out at 50 mph

I have been using the Garmin Forerunner 101 for a long time now. Works great, is super small and comes with a strap that is meant for your arm, but works great for strapping it onto the truck wing or body mounts.

Highly recomend it and I see it on ebay for under $90 quite often. I think it has been replaced witht he 201 model now but I think they are the same for the most part so either one should be perfect.

Oh yea... It takes a pretty good beating and still works fine. Mine looks like its been though a war. lol

Some of these things nice and expensive. There was like 3000 GPS on ebay, narrowed that down to 890 hand held ones. Gave up on that and went to the Garmin site and got caught up gawking at the $500 plus bells and whistiles. I'll look into the geko 101 sounds like more what I am looking for. Still chuckling about being lost in the woods with a useless GPS.


Here's a winner. Reading the description it sounds like the guy is fed up with it. Kind of funny how he describes it. Honest.
