Wheel/Tire weight is the most important imo, because you have to take into account the wheel and tire rotation in addition to forward motion. Each oz of tire weight accounts for more than 1.5 oz of weight performance wise.

I've had sets of tires and wheels range between 12.15 oz per set to 18.8 oz per set. The panther slicks are the lightest tires ive seen at 44g per tire. Team Associated 83mm wheels are the lightest wheels ive seen 33g per wheel. Also molded foams are about twice the weight of standard foams -11g vs. 6g. Stay away from tires with channels and big knobs.

I've gotten my 8ight down to 7.20 lb rtr with a 30 4100 mah 4s pack.
