Nice!!!! I remember those! I always had to cut the pieces to build things because they didn't fit the way I wanted. I progressed from Erector sets, to K'nex, to Lego Mindstorms (very cool), then R/C.
I still dig out the Legos once in a while...

Legos were great. I honestly think legos are to blame for the selection of hobbies that I have had since. Always working on something, trying to fix it or make it better...

legos are still great, im 29 and i still whip out my legos and build stuff
