Nice-looking build. I actually left the other mounting mount for the 2nd motor because it helps in cooling the motor. It acts as a heatsink.

I wondered about that but figured the alloy gear casing might sink heat away too.
I'm wondering whether to use the second motor mount point to hang an ESC mount from actually.........
