I'm not sure I'd trust electrical tape to hold your $200 pair of lipos...

Heh, I had some of those battery trays once on my TXT-1. What you could do is have a piece of plastic/ alloy in place of the posts (on edge), with a channel for the spur gear if some clearance is required on the insides.

Good idea! I may have to try something like that. Adding to your idea, maybe bolt a small piece of angle aluminum to those posts so it covers them, providing a flat place for the Li-Po's to rest against rather than those posts, and protect them from the spur better than the posts alone.

To Ian - it actually holds really good, they hardly move at all.

Just got some video of it doing some speed runs and bashing, and my front diff stripped. Seems like it only breaks when its being filmed...

It's uploading now, have to edit it, will be posted in a couple hours.
