Yes, this is a great idea. Actually the straps are going underneath the epoxy deck, the CNC machined grooves on the Tekno chassis provide channels for the straps.

Problem here is my deck has no side walls, without strong hold down force the batteries will slip back and forth during running and jumping, hit the steering post etc. Maybe I need Mike to make me a custom CNC machined battery tray.
