Got any recommendations ???

For what it worth I picked up dreamweaver today and it’s just too complicated / far over my head, it’s more a BrianG thing than me! My neighbor says I want (front page)??? I don’t know, What do recommend ???

Thanks guys…
Depends what you want to do. Flash is pretty common, but tends to be used for more of the wow factor. If you are familiar with Photoshop, then the transition should be fairly painless as all Adobe stuff is pretty similar. There is software out there that will create the Flash for various effects without actually knowing anything about it, you just gotta look.

If you just want a basic page, there are tons of WYSIWYG (pronounced wizzywig and stands for "what you see is what you get") editors out there. Just find one that is free and does not litter the source with a ton of garbage. Maybe it's better nowadays, but Frontpage was total crap back when I attempted to use it. For the last ten odd years, I just code everything in a text editor. Textpad is my favorite; has multi-tab interface and does context highlighting to find coding errors a little easier (things like improper string termination). But I do this only because I do a lot of scripting and you really need to know the DOM to script effectively (and make stuff that works in all modern browsers). For your basic page, this is not needed and a WYSIWYG will be fine.
