What i would like to see is a 4000mah 10c lipo in that is the same size as the maxamps old 2100 pack, or possibly smaller... Still good for 40 amps, but twice the runtime. Not sure if that is possible, but the newer chemistry may be able to do something like that.

Yep, the 2100 cells are the only ones that have lasted. I will say that most of them are a mixture of good cells from other packs that puffed, and they go way out of balance even on a crawler. But they were basically free and they fit all of my crawlers really well.

Did I mention they were almost free? I have maybe 80 bucks in 15 2100 cells, and i may have a spare cell or two laying around... 5 bucks a cell is cheap, considering what they sell for new...

If I replace them I have some fp 2170 3s packs that will be used. About the same size and twice as powerful.

They've had the option to have the hard shell shrunk into the pack for awhile now.

What?? Explain. I talked to Jason via chat tech support for three hours off and on once. As well as watched one of his youtube videos. He is an extremely nice guy.
Jason just stopped responding to my e-mails. Trying to get packs replaced that kept going WAY out of balance, he told me my setup was drawing to many amps. Packs in question where 2s 6000mah 20C. Should have been able to withstand 120A continuos and 180A bursts. Using BrianG's calc and some common sense told me I wasn't near that. If I could get 20 minutes out of a 6000mah pack my continuous was less than 20A and BrianG's calc estimated bursts 140A bursts. Alex wound up taking care of me, he replaced the packs with something that should hold up a bit better.
