Put it this way. If you gear the 2200 with a 26 tooth and you gear the 2650 with a 22 tooth you will practically get the same results. Not that you would ever gear that high for either motor, but you get the idea. I have a 2650 kv combo on the way that i will be running on up to 5s. It's the same rpm as the 2200 on 6s so I should be fine for my intended use...

...of showing off in the parking lot for 20 minutes straight that is. lol.

Disagree - The 2650 is close to a 1512 and is suitable; for a buggy for a truggy / MT get the 2200 - I've been running both of these motors since september...

You will notice the difference.

You have tried both the 2200 and the 2650 in the same vehicle, geared to go the same speed? Was there a difference in the powerband?

I am aware that the 2650 is a 1512 and the 2200 is a 1515, but since they are both 1Y they will have roughly the same resistance and the charts of the neu motors confirm this comparing two lengths of the same wind. Actually the 2200 should have a touch more resistance due to the longer coils, but theoretically, if the resistance is the same in both motors, amp draw will be the same and therefore power since power = volts x amps.

That's what I was thinking for the RC8t. It seems with the lower kv you have more room to play with the battery. THX, I'm getting back into since the electric hay day of the RC10 so I'm learning.
