Very very basic rule of thumb is the amt of air you increase over atmospheric press is how much % you gain.
EG. Air press @ sea level~=14.7psi=1 atm
6 psi boost:
6/14.7= .4=40% so if you have 200 hp... 200*1.4=280hp
25psi boost is like tripling the power. but... there is no way a stock engine will do that. Nor will a sh1tty $200 turbo. Turbos are very expensive.

You are best off just getting a low psi turbo or supercharger (6-8psi) for a good but modest % increase, or just do simple NA things. Either way tho is mad money. Prepare for thousands. A simple bolt-on centrifugal supercharger w/o intercooler is still several grand.

There is a reason I do RC and not full size cars. the $$ scales with the size :)

Pretty much what everyone else said. Are you now buying a non turbo supra? They have a different engine than a turbo supra and will not respond to mods well...

Plus you would have to fab all kinds of plumbing to make a turbo work. I have a feeling the turbo is the cheapest part. And that tubo you liked to is a wet flot bearing type, so it will not last as long as a ball bearing supported turbo. Plus you really want to find one with a 360 deg bearing, not the 270 deg type.

I run up to 45 lbs of boost - but my engine alone weighs more than that little ricer.

My tip would be to get yourself onto a supra forum, sit back and read for a while. Figure out what guys are doing that works, and what doesnt.

Or you could just post..."what batteries do I need to make my Traxxas Supra faster..."

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

Certain vehicles can be modded inexpensively. I have an 02 lightning, and I can get around 500-520 whp with about 2-2.5k worth of mods. Mainly getting the blower ported, and upping the bost 6psi (to 16). The fuel system can support that, as can the tranny. Some long traction bars and drag radials are about all I will need in the suspension dept, maybe some drag shocks too. Should be good for mid 12sec runs, which will eat most things on the street. Pick your car wisely, as some have lots of potential, while others are maxed out...

I still laugh when I read import tuner and they put on 2k worth of goodies and get 3.5hp... Taking out the back seat and spare tire would about equal that, or telling the fat gf that she has to stay home while you race.

You lucky SOB!!! My friends are into Mustangs, I have always said I would rather have a Lightening.everyone knows the saying "Mostangs are like a$$holes, everyone has one" but not everyone has a lightening, or a truck that will run with a stang or camaro. I like trucks better than cars too so it's a better choice for me, maybe someday I'll get me one!
