Gearing for Losi 8IGHT on 5S w/ CC 2200 or Neu 1512 2.5D

I'm running a Neu 1512 1.5y 1900kv on 5s, geared 46/15. Runs cool as.

The Losi spur is 45 tooth. The Losi motor mount will only let you use a 45. This does limit your gearing choices. Also the Losi buggy diff's are 40/13 not 43/10 like the truggy. 43/10 would be best for the track, I would think 40/13 would produce higher top speed, 43/10 more bottom punch. Mine with the 1512/2.5/D is a rocket on 4s geared anywhere from 12-16 pinion's but gets hot no matter what pinions I use. Think I will try 10-12 on 5s and see how temps are. Probably for the track 43/10 for the diffs's would be best also.
