Are you using Spektrum recievers? It's a shot in the dark, but if you aren't, then maybe the Rx is the problem. It really does seem like a neutral band issue; with the Tx neutral being more to the "left" on all of the channels. You can probably correct it with the trim if it isn't wayyyyyy off. That's really just a patch though, the problem still exists.

Ok here is what I came up with. I took a servo put a really long horn on it, cut out a piece of cardboard and dropped it down in it. I took 4 radios, 0'd out the trims and started at their out of the box epa/travel. I moved the servo back and fourth, and marked their max sweep on the cardboard.

dx3s @150% on travel, is pretty much equal to the stock losi spektrum radio, you can put a bit of pressure on the losi radio and it will go past the dx3s max endpoint.

A futaba 2pl, at 100% is in between the 100 and 150% endpoints of the dx3s, and the 2pl's max of 120 it is pretty much equal to that of the dx3s max.

Last I tried my m8 with a spektum module, at 100% epa it was about where the futaba was at 100%. At 150%, its max, it def travels the farthest of the bunch, roughly 1/16" past where the others stopped.

I guess what it boiled down to is the dx3s endpoints are just a lot more conservative at out of the box specs. When it wouldn't hardly turn it got me paying closer attention to what was going on. The other radios just had enough thow I really didn't notice driving it I could have gotten more steering. I still don't understand completely why it takes so much more throw to turn the 3 cars I have tried to turn right than left, I guess that is just the way the steering is set up.

So far I am happy with the radio, happier now that I know nothing is wrong with it. I need to get some servo extensions to get the telemetry working on the baja, got the sensors mounted but need more leads. I have a wireless pet fence that had been giving me fits with the the brushless cars, that seems to have gone away using the spektrum stuff- the m8 with the module, and the dx3s. It doesn't bother any of the brushed cars for some reason.
