I hit the big FOUR-O last August.

To all the younger guys...

Stupid shit that you do as a teenager and in your 20's, will catch up to you! When I hit 30 I started falling apart, manly it was my back. So two back surgeries later I started acting like I was no longer a teenager. 40 has been ok so far....except my perfect vision isnt so perfect any more. Now im having to use reading glasses.

Has anybody in the 40+ club noticed that your vision is starting to go south?

So far my vision is still great except when I'm driving at night. I seem to be more affected by the glare of oncoming headlights .

WE HAVE A BINGO. Yea I started having to wear reading glasses shortly after I started into this hobby, because I was having a hard time seeing the tiny screws during installation. I have had 20/20 all my life up to now. That sucks. In my mid 40's I noticed that I am loosing muscle tone and just cannot do all of the same stuff that I was able to do before. Luckily for me I have never had any broken bones or major injuries that can plague me now. I keep telling myself that I need to start working out, but just cannot seem to get myself to actually do it. I am truely spoiled with the comfortable life that we live. I am loving life though. I have two pensions coming in and really do not have to work anymore. Even with the economy going into the toilet I can still get whatever I want without worrying wheather we can afford it or not. So life is good at 50.

Nope, mine is still very very very good.

I do drop things more than I used to though.

Overall my vision is REALLY good. But reading anything thats in my hand...I have to stretch out my arm really far to read it as everything up close is blurry. The reading glasses help but I fear its making the problem worse. Im going to have to make an appointment with the eye doc.

Next subject....Hair

Is yours turning grey? Or is it like mine...balding and turning grey!
