I am looking to do exactly what you say clamping it between two nuts, the issue was that all of my current 17mm nuts are a different thread size so none of them screw on. I am changing gears and making it work now but the point of this thread was to see if one would work out of the box, if I wanted to just make it work from the start I wouldn't have posted. It has been a good discussion and we know now that truggy != MT for any of these balancers.
