Small Update: Broken rx - 03.30.2009, 11:29 PM

I made a jumper so I could run a single pack instead of two and ran the car on a Zippy 4S 4000mAh pack today. I case I haven't made it clear yet this car is an animal. I really think that if I made the bottom of this FLM chassis total flat the car would indead fly.

Right now by the speed clac it's geared for 72mph, but I haven't gps'd it yet. All I can say is this thing hauls butt and everything stays cool.

My early afternoon run ended with a high speed wheelie turned roof skid that ended with a hard hit of the motor into a curb. The ESC was 3M double sided taped down, but the impact with the curb was enoug to break it off. ESC was fine, but the RX brok. I replaced it with a AE XP3D tx/rx and ran it again.

This was one of my most fun R/C car runs ever. I hit the large empty parking lot across from my house, and not 5 minutes into the run a cop show's up at the other end of the lot (no uncommon, my girlfriends house is 2 doors over from the cop shop). They were cool and stayed all the way to the end of the lot giving me the whole thing to run in. I ran it around for about 10min and decided to stop before I broke something. I need to make a new ESC mount and a battery tray for it before I put anymore time on it.
