I bought my 2215 for $425 at offshoreelectrics. They have a very good price on them.

Mike - could you please post the size of the battery tray? Thanks.

Battery tray internal dimensions are about 88mm x 166mm.
I am about halfway through the next batch, so they won't be out of stock for long. :)

Hey Mike that looks great, WELL DONE, can the mount be adapted to work on the regular chassis plate or a Carbon rear chassis plate. Or are the offsets for the transmission different??

The first batch has been shipped. They did drag for a couple days - I ran out of the m6 nuts that are pressed into the lower chassis and had to figure out a few things on the mfg side to enable faster production on subsequent batches and get the packaging figured out.

I don't think the mount or brace would work with the stock lower plate -the new lower plate, upper plate, motor mount and chassis brace were all designed together and I think they are wider than the stock lower plate.
I suppose anything is possible, but it wouldn't be ideal to try to use these parts on the stock lower plate.

Just got the kit! - 06.12.2010, 05:06 PM

Nice kit! 4.7mm thick rear top and bottom plates. 8mm thick motor mount and chassis brace. Battery tray holds my two 6S 5500 G3's perfectly. Can't wait to start the build!

Here are some more pictures. And to my wife, the whole batch, batteries and all came to under $50. So don't be mad.

hahaha! if that aint the truth! my wife believes that a custom RTR brushless 1/8 or 1/5 costs roughly $150 to $200 to build. Its a good thing this RC hobby isnt very expensive.
