hehe, I've been getting pounded too today. My major holding, PNX, got killed today. I had sold some off at $4.4, but its dropped down to $3.6. Wish I sold more off, but eh. Holding some cash so I'll see where it levels out. Market has looked a bit ugly lately, but I hate moving too fast as its easy to sell yourself out on a little dip and miss the bounce back up. Hopefully the correction is short lived.

Man, I was happy when the market was up and then I didn't check it and then . I'll just hold my positions for now and see where it'll take me.

OMG..still dropping. Really wish I would have sold more off. My PNX is down to $3.0x from ~$4.5.

Bunch of things got nailed. Hopefully market reaches a bottom soon as things get way oversold. Damn, if I only went to more cash sooner.... buying power dies bc of the margins. Ack...

I'm going to keep all my positions and see where the bottom comes and see how far up my positions will go. Maybe 5-10yrs from now when another bubble burts, I'll probably play the market for real.

lol.. If you review some of the 10yr avg returns on a number of things (stocks, mut funds, etc.) this might not be a bad idea.
Its bad when many of the major 401k funds we're offered at work have a YTD return of 40%, but the 10yr is 3%.

For F's sake, might as well buy something safe, wait for a bubble to burst, put it in during the recovery, then get the F out again.

In the meantime, you're way way ahead, so I got to work a bit harder :)

I knew it was time to sell when you starting seeing a lot of blogs and message boards lighting up lately talking about how "we are taking this b!tch to $X.X." Doing the opposite of the herd turns out right more often than not it seems.

Good thing this is only a game lol. Just watch how low I'll be in the next couple or maybe few months. I hope investors have a new game plan for the new year.

I have one small one that is making vaccines and is working on an H1N1. Not a whole lot in it tho. I'm always iffy on the biotechs tho. So much can go wrong, and its an expensive business to start with. Lot of returns possible, but lots of risk too.

Risk is there, but with the GOV involved in this I think returns outweighs the risks. Scare tactics will play a big part in this and with more and more getting the vaccines, the companies making it will just profit more from it. Nice profit for a not so big Pharmaceutical company could mean big bucks if a bigger company is looking at them. You know who wins when that happens right?

You got it, but there could well be others as well on the side.

I'm up to something and it's a bit complex for me to discuss it here, but the world will soon find out when all the information is in my hands.

We started this game at school. We arent using the same game but we get $100,000 to start with and can invest in any stock and it has to be a minimum of 100 shares. So far my group has invested in Apple hoping it will rise back up with the new computers and iPhone they just came out with. It is pretty fun.

Did you know?

I'm really hoping it's not the time yet. I would've thought they (The ones taht control the market) would wait a little. Lets see how low it'll go. I'll be holding my positions in the game just to see.
