SpeedAssualt I've got no real idea, all I'm saying is it's not been an issue for me & in the quick look I had at the prohibited items list I didn't see any reference to lithium

I'm assuming you're buying one from here? If so, who has given you that advice?

If I were sending it to you, I'd fill out the declaration correctly but if I were refused at Australia Post, I'd try another outlet - some of the employees in these places may interperate rules differently...then I'd use FedEx or UPS or another commercial carrier, they'll get it to you
