I ran the Novak SS5800 in my TC4 when I had it. No modifications are required for that standard setup.
Going sensorless, however, would require that you measure the space you have in the vehicle and compare to ESC sizes for sensorless ESCs to make sure the one you buy will fit.
Geared conservatively, my TC4 hit 30 easily.
