Stock 3906 emaxx diffs = epic fail, quite often.

3.3spec diffs = better, but still weak

3905 diffs = much better.

Anyway, the hotbodies diff thing refers to 1/8 scale diffs- you can only use them with FLM Hybrid diffs/bulks, or UE Ultra Lite diff cases.

You could beef up your existing diffs with a metal cup, case and hardend ring gear, but you need to tell us which specific diffs you have now (model of emaxx?).

I would rather spend the money on FLM hybrids though, atleast that way you are removing the biggest weak link which is the spider gears- 4 spiders vs 6.

hi neil...i have a 3906 e-maxx, its was the very first version without the wide arms but is fitted with the proline widemaxx kit. i have ally bulkheads fitted to it. i thought i would buy ally diff casings and hardened crown wheel and pinion to do the job but was also looking at using 8th scale diffs also, which ever one is the toughest. thanks neil hope you are enjoying the sunshine down in sunny devon .
