I have run the same radio with good success, you need to move the bec away from the rx. Put it behind the motor or somewhere different than where you have it. That should cure the glitching.

Also, move your antenna to the front of the vehicle, like off the front steering brace. I can see it getting lunched by the pinion... Plus getting it away from the motor may help with the glitching as well.

I have some 32p 5mm bore pinions in 20-22-24. Let me know, I will sell em for a good price.
