Lol I tried to mod my MM and sent it to them in a little baggy in pieces with half the components dead from my dodgy soldering/desoldering attempts and they replaced it for $50 no questions. In email correspondence I was told I could douse it in petrol, burn it and send them the ashes and I'd still get a new one for $50.

I think you'll be fine :)

That said, test it first. I did that to my sidewinder and it didnt work straight away, but came good after a few minutes. not sure what happened, but it ended up working OK :)
