Yes - 08.13.2009, 01:17 AM

Yes it is nice to have UE back up and running. Especially since UE and RCM are the only two R/C forums I really enjoy. Good to see that he finally overcame whatever the problem was. That was really weird to be without UE for so long. I sure hope RCM does not have that sort of problem.

Ue is down again. - 04.22.2011, 07:29 AM

I know it is an old thread, but the UE Forum is down again. I was right in the middle of a sales deal with another member and the site just up and took a crap (oops another MA Lipo pack is born). Well I am not sure what the problem is, but I have already sent an email to Robin, but no answer yet. He just rebuilt the system and got everything relocated to his new location about 6 months ago. Oh well.

This was an old thread joe. This happened back on 22/April/2011. Robin had things back up within an hour or so. Sometimes he just does not see a problem until one of us shoots him a PM.

No I mean this morning. I posted a Reply in a thread earlier this morning and then I went to get back on and I cannot connect. I am not having any other problems with any sites, only UE. I only bumped this thread because of my experiences today. Gotta have my UE....LOL!

Your right... - 09.12.2011, 12:17 PM

Well I'll be dammed. Your right it is down again. Man is he falling asleep at the wheel or what? The store is practically dead, and now the UE site drops off line once a month or so. That is really too bad. I mean unless he starts doing something new everyone is going to abandon the UE forum. I really enjoy the gang of good people in there just like here, but this is getting rediculous. If he is not planning to do anymore product runs, than I have to say it is time to pack it in and call it a day. I still love my UE products, and will probably hang on to them for many years as I plan to be a part of this hobby way into my twilight years, and that is 20-30 years from now.

Well it was short and sweet, it's back up again. Yeah it is a drag, I wish he would just at least spend 10 minutes once a week to communicate with us. Even if he would just do a run of knuckles and rear upper Racer X arms you know how many people would be stoked. I will be the same way Jerry and be into this hobby for as long as I can. The nice thing about my club is Zane is very excited about taking over the club when he gets older, I will be very happy to have something to hand down to my kids and keep them involved with something that is very fun and rewarding at the same time.

Some locals wonder why I don't want to take my Pred out and beat the snot out of it, well because I will be happy to just have that and my Lightning on the shelf to admire. They will both be RTR but won't be trashed out because they are just that, irreplaceable. They are beautiful trucks, such a shame to see that place going down.

Down again - 12.07.2011, 11:40 AM

Man this is becoming a regular occurance with UE. I have been trying to connect to the site all day today with no luck. I have two sales deals going and I just placed an order for nearly $200 worth of UE gear. I sent an email to Robin, but no response yet. I do hope its just another clitch and not a final curtain for UE.

Is it really an SQL issue? - 12.07.2011, 05:04 PM

Guys, for some reason I'm feeling a bit skeptical about what Robin has told Jerry. Let's take this fomr an I.T. guys, perspecitve....

If I EVER make a change in my SQL databases or any scripts I have a full backup of my system first.

I believe it was someone named "Hippie" who helped him out the last few times his site went down. I even offered help, I happen to know SQL, I work with it every day. Websites as well.

Even if he didn't have a recent backup, he could backup what he had now, rename it, and then restore from his most recent backup and be online in a short amount of time...

I really don't understand the issue if it's an SQL problem. And if it's Vbulletin, it does an automated backup on it's very own, part of the package when it is installed and configured......

I do hope it's something along Robin's issue and I just don't know, something about the info isin't adding up... Or Robin hasn't done any backups for a long time. I would have thought he learned that lesson long ago.

Hey guys!!!! Glad to see your all here!!!!!!
