Unfortunately the Ice and others like it, most will not discharge more thn 1.0amp. Thats gonna be the test is the discharge. I agree to do what you've posted and just see what it's goona do ? Best of Luck.

My 2 Ice's will discharge at 8A. Is it different on the newer models? *Edit* Yep! The new models can handle 10A....
