Cant you just get a longer ethernet cable to connect the 360 to your router (power points not withstanding), allowing you to relocate it?

In a perfect world yes, but not everyone has the skills, time or desire to deal with it. Me on the other hand, if its not wired in my house, it don't work. Wireless is fine for the farking Starbucks book writers and grandmas laptop, but wired is still the best for network throughput and low latency.

Everything in my apartment is gigabit wired and what the landlord doesn't know, won't hurt her.

I have the ps3 but the kid has the 360, the 360 doesnt work well with the wireless lan, I run the ps3 off the wireless and it never skips a beat. Im not saying PS3 FTW but I wouldnt buy one for myself also his 360 had to be sent back 3 times due to a something screen of death. What a pile
