Well it depends on how you look at fast to. If you look at fast as over all speed or if you look fast as overall accelleration. Nitro is nice as far as the speed and accelleration. The brushless is faster in the accelleration department. It has good speed to. It really depends on the person.

I like to consider it in terms of power to weight ratio,with BL/lipo having the edge over nitro.If you take the weight of the Nitro(engine,engine mounts,pipe,tank,RX pack,clutch assembly,servo)then BL/Lipo (packs,esc motor,motor mount) can come in under that weight with power to spare.A BL/NiMH can't beat nitro for power:weight but has an abundance of instant torque that usually see off Nitro in a straight line.I think the power delivery of nitro has it's advantages too.
