Is it possible your switch is bumping/getting switched? It's easy on the MMM and why many eliminate the switch.

Otherwise it really sounds like a cold joint on your power wires. I know you said they were all good, but a triple check would be in order.

Maybe the switch is not very sturdy. I'll run the truck again tomorrow and see if it happens again. I don't have any problem bypassing the switch, didn't really want it anyway. The switch actuator is not being physically moved, maybe the contacts inside are poor? I ohmed out all my solder joints and gave them a good tug. I was very careful soldering. I am using the XT-60 connectors available from hobbycity. I like these connectors better than the traxxas or deans plugs.

So far so good... I jumped the switch, and redid the tranny. Had to shim the output and input sections to get the play out. Now it is much quieter, not so much vibration. I ran a bit tonight, and all is well, no cutting out. I need to modify the wheelie bar, as on 5s, this thing just flips, wheelie bar or not. Wow, this thing is fast!!!
Did some damage disassembling the chassis (to the ESC receiver wires). Had to open the case and do some soldering, replacing the wire to the receiver. My bad. While I was at it, I jumped the switch on the board.
Gotta be careful with the RC solutions cage, they don't deburr any edges, thats how I stripped my receiver wire.
Things working great now. Probably take it to the indoor track tomorrow at Joliet (leisurehoursraceway.com)
The MMM combo really woke this thing up. I am running 20/68 still, don't think I can handle any more speed right now (with the space I have available).
