Latest word -- still in internal Beta testing. Probably at least six more weeks before we are ready for public beta testing.

I exchanged emails with a rep for Castle last week or so (don't remember whom it was) and it seems we have a bit of a wait yet
I'm sure it'll be well worth the wait tho !!
I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

I imagine that would be a hard promise to make before the beta's start. Hopefully all goes well tho and they don't need big revisions so they can be avail quickly.

In the earlier part of this thread he said it might can be just an update, but till testing is done they won't know if there will be any need for hardware updates
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Yep -- we are going to try to do it so that it could be just a software update, but at this time we aren't sure if we need to do any hardware changes.
The real issue is braking energy. If the Phx-ICE design is tough enough for braking energies (it wasn't designed to be a car controller!) then we won't need to update hardware. If we run into braking issues, we may have to tweak the design a bit, or add some external hardware.

If it is just a software update, Can it be used on any ice esc? or, will it be limited to the 200 amp and or the 160 amp? I like the design and would like to run them in smaller scales (1/10 to 1/16) thanks.
Edit: I got one problem, i see two different sets if ice hv esc's
These: http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...oenix_ice.html
and these: http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...ix_ice_hv.html
Which one are we talking about?

Thanks Patrick, 6S is all i need for smaller sizes. I'm honestly more intrested in the data logging setup. 8S or 10S would be intresting with my 2250/11turn lehner (1184kv)
