I had the same concerns when I first un-boxed the chassis, I figured there was no way it was going to work, but it does bend and all the screw holes line up perfectly on the upper deck. I do not remember if it was the included instructions or some website, but I researched it before tightening everything down.
Not trying to start a flame war either, but I can take pictures if you want to see it. Just wanted to state what I experienced since I have used a version of the chassis before.
