Anyone running or know about the Losi smart diff?

How do you test that the diffs are lockinng? I can easily hold full throttle with the rear wheels planted. This is the case no matter what i've tried.

i could tell from the 30ft 4wheel burn out marks

nothing like ruining a bran new set of tires in 2 seconds to prove you have more power than your buddy

did you litely sand the brake cups before you installed it? or did you just buy them rtr?

(just scuff them alittle)

i can think of 4 problems you could have

1 your springs may not be seated all the way (losi's springs are crap, they are wound to big for the holes most of the time, i had to open most of mine up to make them work properly

2 you may have to much grease, keep in mind that the plates have to move and if they have to force grease around to do it that will slow down the reaction alot and could keep them from fully enganging

3 you could have the wrong springs installed, start with the softest spring and only add heaver one's if you are having under steer problems when on power or too much wheel spin (heaver springs = slower reaction and more power to the front wheels for longer)

4 you could have the wrong traction ramps installed, 120 Degree ramps are smoother, more lineal feeling but hold less power because they have a smaller brakeing surface and a longer brakeing window( they are only really useful in the front) 90 Degree ramps are harsher and tend to transfer power faster ( they don't feel lineal )
